Yep and that's exactly what i did and was saying... you don't see that FCLK option at all in the bios so you can't change it !!! Also even by changing Ram frequency (first thing everybody tried !!!) it won't post because the FCLK didn't changed to supposed proper frequency like it should !!! Not only it's the only option not available...but also... the guy who made the DRAM CALCULATOR mentioned that this is the main problem with Ryzen 3000 and ram's !!! Like normally you should be able to set the frequency of your ram kit then the FCLK should auto adjust to proper frequency to match... but that's not implemented properly in some x570 boards !!!

@sajmon83: fclk can also be set indenpendently from ram clock. its an extra setting on its own.

i dont want to insult or lecture you guys, just correcting right from wrong. as you realized there are currently over 100 bugs and missing features in the available bios, so its basically impossible for users to fix this on their end. if your pc works so far or not thats just random plain luck.

Your a funny lil boy !!!

3400G is Ryzen 3000 and they've changed things inside the cpu... you should search infos to learn !!! Since it looks like you like to talksh*t others but aren't able to search good infos by your lil self... zen+ aka ryzen 2000 allows pciex 4.0 while after the things they added/changed inside the ryzen 3400G...it now only allow pciex 3.0 ... so if that changed physically... well it means it's not 100% rebranded so yes 3400G IS Ryzen 3000...just not in 7nm !!!
Also your the type of lil boy who says it's not a new sh*t because they rebranded last gen bla bla bla...but they do that with almost everything so is everything not what they're selling just because they took something and build it better ??? Don't you call every drivers not new drivers just because they took old drivers parts to compile new drivers package ???
The only part you're right is: Ryzen 3000 in new 7nm are all new stuff putted together while Ryzen 3000 not in 7nm are mixing old parts with new parts so they're not only brand new parts like 7nm ones...but still are Ryzen 3000 !!!

You said my text is poorly structured... how many languages do you speak and write... i do more than 2 so sorry if i didn't had the chance of learning only one language like you...wait a second... i am not sorry at all since i do more than you !!!

You pretend you don't want to insult people but by reading your comments that's what you do most

And now the funny part... you better search what 81 means worldwide !!! And no it's not the year !!! So you clearly need to learn RESPECT !!!

@DMC51450:
Cool down.

You can thank AMD for the number scheme of their CPUs and APUs.

2400G, also called Raven Ridge, is made with a Zen die and that is the 14 nm first Ryzen generation.
https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/cores/raven_ridge

3400G, also called Picasso, is made with a Zen+ die and that is the 12 nm second Ryzen generation. And that is the reason why FCLK is not adjustable.
https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/cores/picasso

AMD interested people know this at least since one year.

What you mean is coming next year, maybe with a 4400G, for example.

Exactly but even if they took parts from ryzen +.... they still added new parts with it so it still is ryzen 3000 !!! Like i just explained... no 3400G is not all new in 7nm like 3600 and up ... still it is Ryzen 3000 !!! I know all changes they made since early days of disclosure except for the fact that 3400G's gpu is locked Pciex 3.0 instead of Pciex gen 4.0 for 2400G's gpu !!! With my board and my 3400G if i add a gpu like the new ones (in 7nm and pciex 4.0) it will work at pciex gen 4.0 !!! Just the onboard gpu inside the APU (3400G) is locked pciex gen 3.0 !!!
By the way... we do can change FCLK with Ryzen 2000 and also with 3400G aka Ryzen 3000 on certain boards as of right now... just not with every boards since there is some missing options in some bioses like FCLK !!!

So yes guys those Ryzen 3000 not in 7nm aka 3600 and up...aren't only new parts like the 7nm ones... but still are RYZEN 3000 !!! By the way...are you guys telling me my BMW 535i isn't a BMW because the transmission is from GM ??? Nope...it's still a fuc..n BMW 535i !!! I understand the 'they used old parts in it so it's not all new like 7nm ones'' and i'm down with that since that's how i think too... but still it is a Ryzen 3000 !!!

It's funny because even manufacturers are telling wrong specs on some things... i found that myself in July while i was shopping for my new rig parts... and i'm now able to confirm it !!! Like let's take my rig... Only one place on web i found that my board is hdmi 2... but 99% tells it is hdmi 1.4 ...even on Asrock !!! Well i confirm that my x570 Phantom Gaming 4 have hdmi 2 and runs flawlessly at 4096x2160p 60hz and 2k aka 2560x1440p at 120hz !!! Both are specs only available on hdmi 2 and not on hdmi 1.4 !!! Also my board memory qvl don't list the new Gskill Z NEO kits as compatible while if you go on gskill site on one of these Z NEO kits made for Ryzen 3000 they have the kits qvl and indicate every boards that are fully supported and compatible with ryzen 3000 and their kits... my board like every x570 boards from Asrock are listed also as some 400 and 300 series board !!!
Who's right...???
So search and trust infos carefully since even manufacturers are making mistakes !!!

This is why people should never call it Ryzen 3000.....

It's 3rd Gen Ryzen and nothing else, the 3400G and 3200G are Picasso as Ray wrote earlier, the FCLK and DRAM CLK are linked and cannot be uncoupled, the option isn't "missing" from the BIOS, it doesn't exist because it's not possible to run Picasso in Uncoupled mode.

Raven Ridge and Picasso also have a PCIe Gen3 controller in them, That cannot support PCIe Gen4 and that's why it's not advertised on the box like the 3600 or 3700X for example.

@DMC51450: I just said to keep it friendly and helpful, calling someone a funny
little boy is rude in any language. I don't care who started what, I will not
tolerate threads being turned into insult trading off topic nonsense. I noticed
things had gotten too personal and said something about it, at that point it
ends, you don't get to come in after me and continue. If you have a problem
with a user take it to PM so it doesn't clutter the thread with childish
nonsense. Please keep on topic and do not allow yourself to be baited into
arguments that are not pertinent to the topic of the thread.

As for the AMD's APU naming..... Yeah, its stupid and they really should have
named them better. The 3200g and 3400g really should have been called the 2200g
and 2400g with the previous gen being 1400g and 1200g. I think the g on the end
was more than enough to denote them as having an iGPU. It causes a great deal
of confusion, particularly among the less informed who simply think, as Bilko
mentioned, that they have a Ryzen 3000 CPU and expect Zen2 features. The APUs
are a generation behind in terms of architecture, regardless of changes made to
the die, it remains Zen+ not Zen2.

But the point is how ASRock managed to give the 1003 ABBA so fast to X570 boards.
You see that's the issue, and what is worth I want my CPU to run at the rated boost speeds. So x570s are new boards and ASRock update the ABBA to all of their 570 boards, how so fast for those boards, and the others, X470x, b450, x370x and so long. When it comes to the improvement of quality or performance or issues ASRock is at the bottom of the list as a vendor of taking care of those stuff with BIOS updates.

So, another Ryzen 3000 unsuccessfull try:

A got a 3900X the last days and because i didn't made a decision yet, which X570 board i should buy, i thougt to first try it with the X370 board.
First i saved current bios settings and a lot of bios screens to an USB stick.
Updated my Fatal1ty X370 Pro Gaming to Bios 5.80 and the good old R7 1800X did not care about that. It's running.

After swapping the CPUs, the first try to start ended in a 3..5 second loop with a short flashing of the Debug LED.
After 15 minutes i tried it with one RAM stick in A2. Now some states had been shown during the loop, but always ended in 65 or 66.
This is CPU DXE initialization (CPU module specific) from what i know.
After long time waiting without change i also tried it with removed M2 SSDs, but no change.
One stick Corsair CMK32GX4M2B3000C15 or G.Skill F4-3200C14-16GTZ, just the same.

I also have an unused 2700X CPU here, so i put that on the board and: Seems to be OK.
With the 2 F4-3200C14-16GTZ it is running with XMP3000, everything else default.

So i don't know what is going wrong with the 3900X, maybe the bequit!DarkPowerProP9 750W PSU.

Or i should give it another try after the warming up with the 2700X
