The BIOS/UEFI generally has very little to do during the shutdown procedure. Do you see anything suspicious in the Windows event log when you do the shutdown?<br><br>If this is easily reproducible, you can try running an xbootmgr trace - http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/140247-trace-windows-7-bootshutdownhibernatestandbyresume-issues/ - to see what is causing the hang.<br>]]>

If everything works fine,<br>You can re-adjust Your EFI settings, to find out what the problem is.<br><br>Good luck!<br>]]>
