Author: Bobc69
Subject: 10065
Posted: 03 Nov 2018 at 11:36pm

I am building a computer for a friend and have run into a few problems. Did a lot of looking and comparisons and for the budget I had and the reviews I read, I deciding on the following equipment.

Asrock B450m pro4
Ryzen 5 2600 (stock cooler)
Patriot ddr4 2400 (2x4GB)
ASUS gtx 1050 ti
ASUS dvd/cd rom
WD blue m.2 1Tb 2280
Dual hp 24??monitors
Evea 500 p/s
Installed all the components and pushed the button. Then the problems started.

I had trouble with the system booting to bios. After many reboots it finally loaded the bios.
Checked to see if cpu, ram, h/d, rom were recognized. They all showed correctly.
I tried to rebooted to the boot menu (F11) with no luck.
I loaded the win/10 disc in the rom and rebooted.
Displayed- to boot from disc press any key to continue.
All seemed well except now there was no image on the monitor.
Started troubleshooting ( cable, V/c seated correctly and powering up, rom spinning up)
Changed video cards. Repeated the last step with the same results. Still no image.
Thinking it might not like to boot from the rom I decided to make
Bootable usb. Created on another computer.
Put in the usb. Powered up the pc..... and nothing.. it didn?™t recognize the usb.
Rebooted to enter bios. But it would never display the screen.
Called Asrock tech services.
They walked me through a few step of troubleshooting and determined the motherboard
had a problem and I should return it. They also recommended to change the ram to a different manufacturer. They recommend the Corsair ddr4 2666.

Sent the mb and ram back and received the new motherboard and new ram.
Ok Round 2
I Methodically installed all components.
I pressed the power button...... and...... It powered on.... I tried to enter the bios........
And Nothing happened.
No beep code
No display ( monitor didn?™t receive any signal)
After 30 seconds the computer cycled off then back on.
And that is where I am.
Just cycling on and off.
I did some internet searches to find
Amd has a bios issue ( 300 series only I think)
And they will send out an older chip for you use so you can update the bios beforehand

Any help on this would be awesome
