All the boards you listed are lower end boards.
Most AM4 boards, including even higher end boards, didn't have flash-back feature.

I think AsRock still makes 400-series chipset boards, because they do have some advantage with older CPU support. For example, B550 won't work with 2000-series Ryzen.

The BIOS chip on the board should have a sticker on it, showing which BIOS version it was shipped with. That number should be correct if the board is actually new. You can look up AsRock page for that board to see if that BIOS version supports the CPU you're interested in.

If the BIOS is older than that, you'll need to borrow an older CPU to flash the BIOS.

The product page for each of those Motherboards will tell you what they support out of the box.If those motherboards support Bios update without CPU they would also state this. A 5 year old motherboard new would be hard to find, if it comes without the CPU cover it is used not new.

Why buy older boards when newer ones can do better and offer more support?

ASRock A520M Pro4
ASRock A520M Phantom Gaming 4
ASRock B450M Pro4 R2.0
ASRock B450 Pro4 R2.0

if bought new today support Ryzen 5000 series CPUs out of the box or do they need a BIOS update?

Also, do they support updating BIOS without a CPU, with BIOS Flashback feature or similar?
