Hi eec, ty for this fast answer. 30 min after my post i tryed a last thing before giving up on this board.

When i was building my pc the first thing i have done is using de network bios update in the bios. To version 3.3.
So my last deperate try was downgrading the bios to 3.2 .
And it looks like it worked. I returned the mobo to the seller and they replaced it with another one. that fixed my problems. however, one thing i did stumble upon when researching was that some people who have had this problem might have damaged the board around the cpu cooler mount holes. Hi

i just upgraded to an i7-8700k & Asrock z370 extreme4 from an i5-4690k & Msi z97 krait edition. 

after the change my pc doesn't turn off entirely when shutting down the system. the operating system turns off as it should but pc fans, gpu & mobo is still on and i have to switch off psu to turn off the system. i had no issues b4 the upgrade. 

ive tried:
- clean windows re-install
- clear cmos
- turning off fast boot option in settings
- enabling "deep sleep in s5"


how can i fix this? any help would be much appreciated!!
