This sounds like you might have the famous XMP bug. This is a community forum and while yes, ASRock does check in here fairly regularly you have a much better chance of getting a response from them with the ticket. ASRock representatives are all part of the "ASRock Official" group.

There seem to be a lot of audio related issues with the latest crop of intel boards, the 300 series in particular. The issue is not restricted to ASRock boards either, I suspect it has to do with the 3rd party audio provider (Realtek).

RX580
16GB GSkill
1TB Samsung 970
RMx850 Power supply
Noctura CPU cooler
i7-8700k

I see in the event viewer that the audio driver crashes right before the computer completely freezes and have to do a hard reboot.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver same result.

Have had a lot of freezing issues with a Z370 board as well, don't know what the issue is there.
