I'm running a Asrock X370 Taichi 4.80 BIOS with a Ryzen 2700X. I purchased a Evga RTX 2080 Black edition and immediately noticed my 3000 KIT Ram was running 2133 SINGLE channel Memory Mode.

I have ran a GTX 980,GTX 1060, Vega 56 and never had any Memory issues like this.
With XMP the system will not post beyond 2133 Single Channel. Clearing CMOS Didn't help. I reinstalled the Vega 56 and booted to 2933 Dual channel no issues.
