The PWM pin sets the speed of the fan with a dedicated digital signal.<br />- 3-pin fans do not have the PWM pin. Their speed is set by voltage between ca. 7V and 12V.<br />That's why a 3-pin fan runs at full speed if set to "PWM" (no PWM connector). On the other hand can a 4-pin fan be controlled by PWM OR voltage. In this case you should choose PWM.<br />Some BIOSes have an "AUTO" function, that means, they detect PWM or DC automatically. ]]>

So, if I choose PWM its much more louder than with DC.<br />What exactly shall i choose?
