Author: SlimShadyIV
Subject: 10325
Posted: 09 Oct 2024 at 11:25pm

Hi
Cheers to you all, I hope I'm in the right place to post this issue.

I 've recently acquired a PC build with a Z690 taichi PCI 5.0 and there is some issue with the RGB LED of the fans of bequiet's Pure Loop 2 fx that came with the particular build. I have the 360mm , 280mm and 240mm versions of the cooler system.
Long story short I ve tried almost everything in order to control the RGB LED lights around the fans of the cooler (and around the CPU block of bequiet) without any luck.
They are properly connected on RGB LED HEADER on the motherboard , I've Updated BIOS to 21.01 , updated all drivers suggested by ASrocks's software .
I 've got the latest update of Windows 11 (as of 9th of October) which conflicts with most versions of Polychrome RGB software , I ve downloaded the latest version 2.0.182 of Polychrome RGB (which actually started and did not crash) , I 've tried through the PolychromeRGB inside the BIOS, I even tried SignalRGB BUT...
No matter what I try the fans RGB WILL NOT Respond to the settings I do and the lights WILL NOT Change Color or turn off anyway!
They will stay as is , doing their own pattern and colors ...

My best guess is that the Pure Loop 2 fx model of bequiet's coolers is not supported by the Z690 Taichi as shown in the list with compatible coolers here:

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z690%20Taichi/index.asp#CPUCoolerList

There are only 2 models compatible of bequiet:
Silent Loop 2 360 Liquid CPU Cooler and
Silent Loop 2 240 Liquid CPU Cooler

which I think they're quite similar with the Pure Loop 2 fx that I got.

So please please please Dear ASRock guys is there any fix that could be done or at least any work-around in order to make those arrogant LED fans to OBEY MY MotherBoard's COMMANDS at all times without any questions or rebelliousness??

Thanks in advance ,

George
Had to turn off to autostart or my windows just completely freezes.
-It loosing control to my RGB 1 lost, and unable to control it (Lian Li case, with RGB stripe on the front, was working fine prior today's synapse update)
-And more importantly it freezes I assume, because it tries to fight for RGB control for my Corsair RGB ram, and it looses. ICUE sais error when I try to check the RGB and all statistical settings for the RGB ram, that usually controls just fine.

And since last two comments I made, none of the admins or asrock technicians did care to comment, even though this is kind of a breaking deal that my windows constantly freezes and after a while I will have to reinstall the damaged windows install for sure.
