eGPU is one of the very few selling features of Thunderbolt. Apple has committed to Thunderbolt since 2011. So have a lot of Mac users in the past 6 years. You should contact AMD about the drivers. AIB partners may sometimes provide their own versions of drivers, but these likely have only very minor tweaks. How come there are no AMD graphics drivers for Phantom Vega 64 on macOS Mojave? The performance of native drivers in macOS Mojave are not very good compared to the Windows 10 drivers.
