Author: Jmar
Subject: 10615
Posted: 07 Jan 2019 at 5:06am

I'm having a similar/same problem. I notice that if I plug my Logitech speakers in the the rear "Speaker Out" port (and then I plug my headphones into my speakers) that I can hear some type noise and/or interference - and the sound level can be increased when turning up the volume. This sound exists whether or not I am playing music or gaming. This sound also exists if I plug my headphones directly into the back port. I've also tried plugging into the other various sound ports, and the noise also exits.

This is very disappointing and I would probably RMA it if 1) it wasn't such a hassle to rebuild my entire computer and 2) if I thought the problem would be fixed with a new board.

Is this a problem that cannot be fixed? If so, I'd at lease like Asrock to acknowledge it.

I along other have the same problem with an i9 9900k on Z390 Taichi Ultimate Mainboard. There is another thread named "Z390 Taichi x2 with audio issues..." a few pages back.

I believe that this board has some design issues with high frequecies (al least my one). To get normal sound, I had to buy a soundblaster z soundcard, which so far works fine.
