Why do you care about AM3+?

Also, the M.2 is NOT a NVMe capable slot, so basically you have a fancy SATA port.

Now that I have a solution to my MB issue I thought to comment a bit more.

I like the AMD 9590. This CPU, I am using now, clocked in at an easy 5.175 GHz.
It is running the stress test MPrime on all 8 cores as I type and I can still use it as if it was sitting idle. So that is impressive enough in my book.

My Focus going forward is learning OpenCl programming and using my Radeon Pros' for "number crunching." I am not sure how many "threads" the GPUs' will add in processing power but I'm guessing more than 64. I want to say much more than 64 but I am still learning about these Radeon Pros' They have superior floating point precision over ordinary GPUs' I am reading.

So All is good here, I will get my money's worth of use and in the future when the 64/128 core CPUs' are released I more than likely will upgrade.

There will always be the next best thing so enjoy your hardware. I am enjoying mine.
