Author: beerboye
Subject: 11079
Posted: 11 Mar 2019 at 10:19am

Hi all,

Having an issue with my mobo.

x470 Asrock Tiachi

AMD 2700x

EVGA 650 BQ (also tried a thermaltake old one that I know works)

XPG DD4 3000 memory

Fractal Design S2

Assembled the parts (below) and when I turn the power on at the power supply, the mobo's RGB lights slowly pulse blue (which I guess is the default standby behavior for the Tiachi). When I hit the fp's power button, nothing more happens. No fans spin up, no noises, no error code in the mobo's Dr Debug led.

I've stripped it down removing HDs and Mem, same story. Striped it down further, unplugged everything except CPU, fan and power cables, same issue. I took another power supply that is 'known good' and connected it, same thing. I've tried switching the headers for the FP power and reset buttons per the cases manual, same thing.

I've also tried 'shorting' the power pins with a screw driver. Doesn't work either.

Any ideas?
