Your second stick is marginally faster than the first (C14 vs C15), but I quite doubt that it will matter. If your OS is seeing 16GB, declare victory and don't look back.
I bought a second stick but since the brand I wanted was unavailable I asked the shop tech and they said it would be fine to run different brands as long as they are same speed and its rare occasions that it's incompatible.

But when I look at the manual (https://imgur.com/a/WHAsmdZ) and ram installing Ive come across some trouble. Id just like to know which slots I should be putting these two sticks in for optimal performance and if I should take new stick back and just wait until I can get same brand.

Original Stick:

HyperX Fury 8GB (1 x 8G) DDR4 2400 Desktop Memory DIMM (288-Pin) RAM HX424C15FB2/8

Second stick I bought:

SKU CMK8GX4M1A2400C14
VENGEANCE® LPX 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C14 Memory Kit - Black

(Im not sure if Im allowed to post links to the actual product but I can if need be)

Right now I have them in 2 + 4 slots but I dont know if thats correct even though the computer itself seems to be running fine at first load.

Thanks for any help.
