From what I can see it looks like all you need is to update to 7.00 (bridge BIOS)
then from there update to 7.4.

I would only swap out the CPU after the process is complete, your 1700x will still
be supported on the latest BIOS so this will be the safest route.

Before you start updating here are some safety tips:

Reset the BIOS to factory defaults before updating - avoids any overclocking
settings causing instability, this includes disabling XMP.

Boot into your OS after each update then shut down, boot back into the BIOS,
reset to factory defaults and reboot into the BIOS again to begin next flash.

There is always risk when updating the BIOS but I have found these steps help
a lot in minimizing that risk.
