You may want to RMA the CPU along with the board to
be safe if the BIOS update doesn't resolve the issue.

    Author: mgerner
Subject: 113327
Posted: 15 Sep 2025 at 6:20pm

I have an issue currently, I have a long post but since its just a reply here, I will just post TDLR:

ASRock X870E Nova WiFi stuck at A6 (SCSI Detect) after EXPO issues ??passes RAM training, now halts at storage init (Ryzen 7 9800X3D)

TL;DR:
Built a new system with Ryzen 7 9800X3D + ASRock X870E Nova WiFi. It booted fine at stock, but after enabling EXPO the board began hanging at memory codes (41??3). After multiple CMOS clears and BIOS reflashes (latest + 3.06), the system now always halts at A6 (SCSI Detect) even with all drives and peripherals removed. POST code sequence shows it passes CPU and RAM init successfully. Feels like a storage controller/chipset issue. Looking for advice before I RMA.
