It cannot affect the BIOS version.<br /><br />As for flash drive compatibility, yeah, some boards are sensitive to how the drive is implemented.  It's also possible the flash drive has an incompatible partitioning.  Completely deleting all partition information from it and starting over might solve the issue.  Regardless, you got it workings, so that's good.<br />]]>

You don't even need a supported CPU to flash BIOS on AM5 systems, after all.<br /><br />If you're having issues with flash-back process, debug the process, not the BIOS version.  Maybe you're using incompatible USB memory stick (e.g. too large of a capacity).  Maybe you formatted it incorrectly (e.g. NTFS vs. FAT32).<br />]]>
