Author: Xaltar
Subject: 113452
Posted: 13 Feb 2026 at 2:13am

For anyone experiencing the "CPU not found" 00 code here are a list of steps to
try. In some situations this will revive the system and restore normal functionality.

1. Follow the steps here to rule out corrupted UEFI settings. If this step does not resolve the issue move on to step 2.
2. Check here for the latest beta BIOS for your board and use flashback to update. This has fixed the 00 code for some users.
3. Remove CPU and RAM from the system, repeat step 1 then reinstall a the CPU and single stick
of RAM in slot A2 and repeat step 2 (do not run the CPU without a cooler).
4. If all else fails contact ASRock and AMD tech support and begin RMA procedures.

In addition, please report your system specs, build date and BIOS version in this
thread so we can track the frequency of this issue as well as any commonalities.

Please state honestly if you are using sleep/hibernate, PBO and EXPO/XMP.

Here's hoping this issue will be properly resolved and no one else will have to
experience the inconvenience and frustration of RMAing CPUs and motherboards because
of it anymore.

Thanks all
Xaltar

Edited by Xaltar - 13 Feb 2026 at 2:14am
