Run a few speed tests on it with something like<br />CrystalDiskMark and compare your results to other drives of the same model. You<br />can also download and run Kingston's own SSD tool and verify the SMART status/health<br />of your drive. CrystalDiskInfo can also give you this information.<br /><br />In all likelihood however it is just the drive performing it's usual maintenance.<br />All SSDs do this when they are not being actively used, they clear out junk data<br />from unused portions of the drive. It's possible Kingston has the firmware set<br />to make the HDD activity LED flash by default. Some people like seeing activity.<br /><br />If the drive is underperforming or is damaged/unhealthy in the apps I mentioned<br />above then you may want to RMA it. ]]>

This seems to have to do with my SSD Kingston NV3 NVMe SSD 4 TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0. <br />Using any other SSD the drive LED doesn't flash.<br /><br />Is there an incompatibility?<br /><br />]]>
