I have never used them so I can't think of much else to try. It may be
worth trying the system with everything non essential disconnected. Reseat RAM,
CPU etc and power up with just the monitor connected, no keyboard, mouse or USB
devices.
I have seen systems experience all kinds of issues caused by a faulty USB device.

Bit of a long shot but worth a try.

I thought the system would still boot or at least try to.

AFAIK it only checks voltage with
a light artificial load applied. Odds are, its probably fine but I wouldn't rule
it out based on a self diagnostic, those tend to be more of a gimmick than a useful
troubleshooting tool.

I followed the same steps to actually get the BMC to work. It didn't work before. I didn't even get the BMC heartbeat LED. Then once inside the BMC I didn't see anything in logs. I tried the PSU self test which was green. I don't know what else to try. I'll change the CMOS battery and let you know.

Leave the system like this for about 10mins then
replace the CMOS battery and try to power back on. It sounds like you could have
some corrupted firmware values from an improper shut down or possibly a dying CMOS
battery. Next I would try a new CMOS battery to rule that out. If you have one
available to test with you should also try a different PSU, if it has a bad rail
it could be causing all your issues.

If none of that helps then you can open a support ticket with ASRockRack:
https://event.asrockrack.com/tsd.asp

I bought it new.
It has been working correctly for a year and a half with 4 x 32Gb 2933Mhz ECC RDIMMs and an epyc 7282 and a corsair AX 1600i as PSU.

Then when I turned on this morning it didn't work as expected.

I have no POST, no debug codes, no bmc heartbeat leds, I plugged both the motherboard LAN1 and BMC to the router as usual. Neither is detected, the ethernet port is blinking orange on one side for the LAN1. But it is blinking from both sides on the BMC port. Still not detected by the router,, not trying to receive a DHCP lease.

The weirdest thing is when I try to turn it off by holding the power button it doesn't turn off. Even a minute later.

I cleared the CMOS battery, now I can reach the BMC. But I cannot update BIOS (gives me verify bios error). I downloaded 3.80 from the asrock website. Nor can I turn on the server, it appears as "Powered Off" in KVM of the BMC. Clicking on "Power On Server" does nothing.

And I still have no way of turning it off by holding the power button, only by turning off the PSU.
