Author: Xaltar
Subject: 113560
Posted: 06 Aug 2026 at 1:44pm

The 1030 is PCIe Gen 3.0 and the 5070ti is PCIe 5.0. Based on your troubleshooting
it looks like your 5900XT has an issue with PCIe 4.0 (the highest supported PCIe
generation for the chipset/CPU) or it is struggling to automatically configure
your PCIe gen.

With the 1030 installed go into your BIOS and find your PCIe settings and manually
set the PCIe gen to 3.0 then save and shut down. Reinstall the 5070ti and see if
that gets it up and running. If it does then you can go back into the BIOS and
manually set the PCIe gen to 4.0 and see if it will work when you save and reboot.

See if that makes a difference. If you still have not received a reply from ASRock
after 2 weeks I would open a new ticket with them. I believe they had an issue
with their ticket system last month.

https://tw.asrock.com/events/tsd.asp?kind=MB

    Author: paranoidandroid
Subject: 113560
Posted: 06 Aug 2026 at 10:49am

Hi, I messaged support but no contact after two weeks.
I have an X570M Pro4 motherboard with 5800X3D and RTX 4090 working for years. I upgraded to a Ryzen 9 5900XT and RTX 5070Ti and suddenly the graphics card slot does not work.
1. I updated the BIOS, no change.
2. RAM switches no change.
3. I confirmed that the 5070 Ti DOES WORK with the 5800X3D back in.
4. I confirmed that the 5070 Ti DOES WORK when it's in the lower chipset slot and 5900XT as CPU
5. I confirmed that the 5070 Ti DOES NOT WORK in the CPU slot with an 5950X.
6. I confirmed that an RT 1030 4GB card DOES WORK in the CPU slot with the 5900XT.

So by the power of deduction there is something incompatible between dual CCD CPUs and Blackwell cards on this motherboard, but I haven't seen any complaints online, so what on earth could be the problem?
