And you have bothered to run the mdstool to ensure you are not vulnerable?
My i7 8086K is completely vulnerable, so 8th gen CPU's are vulnerable too.

ASRock is acting the same bad way to their customers, as they did with previous Intel ME vulnerability:

There have been a lot of BIOS updates to the Asrock 300 series motherboards in the last month and am sure there will be more for older boards like yours in the next few months. Even if such a 'fix' is released you should expect a significant performance impact.

Another option is to disable HT, which brought Macs' performance down 40%.

Basically, it's lose-lose situation.
