My Ryzens and TRs (a couple of them) all have CnQ and CPB enabled. I see nothing like OP is posting.

I'm idling at ~2GHz and there is no jigsaw temp pattern. That looks like it could be normal with CPB. I decided to just overclock my 2700x to around 4050 MHz on B450 Pro4 since that's what mine was normally when I ran it at default setting. I'm using Ryzen 2700X on X470 Master SLI(BIOS ver is 3.20).

When enabling "Core Performance Boost (CPB)", temperature of CPU changes like sawtooth wave (fig.1). Is this behavior normal?
