It is a GEN 3 card, right?

Anyway bad plan as the lockups started immediately after the switch. I went back to Gen 2 thinking, "That was a failed experiment, oh well." However, going back to Gen2 didn't reset the PC back to its stable state. In fact, the only way to get back to the stable state was to reload Windows. What is going on here? I understand the drivers are having some teething pains but when I went from Gen2 in BIOS (stable) to Gen 3 in BIOS (PC freezes) and back to Gen 2, why didn't I get back to a stable state? What is that BIOS change doing in Windows?

Set PCIE to Gen2 and PC does not lock up anymore. However, it also does not detect any secondary monitors like it did when on auto. Better to have a functional PC than five seconds of multi-monitors.

Anyone got any thoughts on this? Why does changing to Gen 2 take away multi-monitor detection.
