BIOS 3.40 for my mobo cured all my woes .. I only had one woe, but it's cured now!

Running RX 5700xt at PCIe 3.0 (Gen 3)instead of having to manually select Gen 2 to get windows stable.

I've been gaming for several hours now and not one issue. I was contemplating returning my shiny new RX 5700 XT and was looking over the RTX 2070's .. or maybe grabbing an X570 mobo .. Gonna hang on to my Master SLI/ac and video card.. Nice! .. Hopefully they get this resolved sooner rather than later.. My x470 and the B350 Fatality that is in my daughter's rig have been rock solid (she got my 2700x and was running a 2200g) so that's why I gave ASRock my business with purchasing their RX 5700xt and am confident that they'll address these "growing Pains" soon..

I just put the 3700X back into motherboard and you are correct. That option disappears. I also tried setting the PCIe Switch and Promontory to Gen2 and it doesn't work for me, sadly. AMD PBS PCIe x16 Switch to Gen 2 .. and it forces me to PCIe 2.0. I'll check out the CBS setting and see if that will just force everything to Gen 3.
