Author: twinklepaws
Subject: 1238
Posted: 15 Nov 2015 at 4:19am

I shut down my pc and I returned a while later and when i treid to start my pc the screen stayed black and the perripherals did not receive power, but all the fans do speed up. The motherboard dr. Debug LED goes through a few codes and then loops between f2 and f9 for a few seconds and then the whole process restarts. What they stand for: f2 = recovery process started, f9 = recovery capsule not found.
Model of motherboard is: x79 extreme 9.
I already tried unhooking everything except for the RAM (I left 1 stick), the cpu and the graphics card. I also tried clearing the CMOS.
Does anybody know the solution?
