What is worrying me is the cost of x570 motherboards with PCIE4 and what that means for new Threadripper motherboards with PCIE4 . . . probably have to sell a few organs to get one. Technically the existing motherboards have covered 1st and 2nd gen Threadripper but I was hopeful we'd have 3rd gen covered as well.]]>

Post on Tweaktown quotes from the creator of the DRAM Calculator for AMD Ryzen CPUs and he seems to think the changes to the memory controller will be a problem. Oh well, wait and see. I think I saw a Geekbench score that quoted the MSI X399 MEG CREATION as the motherboard so perhaps there's hope.]]>
