Author: omegaprophecy
Subject: 12771
Posted: 30 Oct 2019 at 9:29am

Hello,

i checked in on Asrock forums to seek some help with new parts that i got today.

I bought:
Steel Legend Z390 (updated to 1.20 UEFI)
16GB Patriot Viper Steel DDR4-4400 DIMM CL19-19-19-39 Dual Kit
i5 9600K

Everything seems to be working, but i cant get the memory over 1066Mhz.
the XMP Profiles and the hardware description promises 2200Mhz (pc4400).

Loading time on start is pretty long too.. and i get a screen of a faulty bootup which skips after 10 secs and its loading windows afterwards without error.
so the uefi event log says on every bootup "memory size different"..
i switched the modules in the slots i every possible way.. nothing helped.. even single channel with 1 module doesnt help..
should i return the RAM? most likely incompatible to asrock then?

thanks in advance for any reply.
