Author: Hale
Subject: 12821
Posted: 06 Nov 2019 at 9:26am

Hey all,

I own a Z370 Extreme 4, which I decided to upgrade with a (very hard to find) Thunderbolt 3 AIC (rev1). It's not showing up in device manager, nor does the Thunderbolt Software application recognize any controller.

The installation in the case was easy enough, I've followed all the steps both the mobo manual and the AIC manual explained. (Save for the mini-cd, I downloaded the drivers online instead.)

I am going to buy an Universal Audio Apollo x8 interface for this studio which connects with TB3.

The problem is that before I buy this, I wanna make sure that my new TB3 controller works. Considering the controller isn't showing up anywhere, I'm a bit scared to spend a lot of money on something that might not even connect properly.

I've tried pretty much everything I can think of.

My UEFI/BIOS version is 3.20.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance.
