    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=10162">Ray62</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 12952<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 Nov 2019 at 6:08am<br /><br />There always is a lack of documentation, my MSI board manual has a comment for two beep codes, my Asrock manual nothing.<br /><br />Ok, forgot the DXE beep codes (and i do not use a speaker on a mainboard since over 20 years...)<br />DXE - Driver Execution Environment<br />For a bios with a hex LED display there are codes defined for the DXE Phase.<br />So the DXE beep codes seemed to be appropriate for me, at least because in another forum there was a discussion about that.<br /><br />AMI beep codes would be more convenient, even in the FAQ from Asrock:<br />https://www.asrock.com/support/faq.asp?k=beep+codes<br />or<br />http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/amibeep.htm<br /><br /><strong>5 short beeps: Processor failure</strong> <br /><br />That matches with your first attempt to ravish your CPU and possibly the board too...<br /><br />Your CPU and board should be inspected professionally...<br /><br /><br /><br />]]>

How do you know it's DXE beep codes?  I'm just really surprised there isn't somewhere online that can confirm beep codes.  I thought there were speaker header beep codes hooked to the motherboard that confirm what is wrong but your list sounds like it doesn't relate to the motherboard?<br /><br />Confirming that the VGA power cable goes straight from the PSU to the video card, confirming video card is in PCIE1 slot.<br /><br />I guess I'll attempt to disconnect both hard drives? I've toyed around with the RAM slots little already but I can try again too now that it actually powers up.]]>

Everything powers up at this point (it didn't power up at all first time) but it doesn't communicate with my monitor.  The scary part is I think I had the CPU rotated wrong and I'm afraid the pins could be bent and ruined.  The second time I removed the heatsink I couldn't even remove the CPU (felt stuck).<br /><br />Anyway my speaker header has five beeps and this is for X570M.  I can't find anywhere online what five beeps mean.  Anybody have any idea?<br /><br />CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600<br />Motherboard: (in title)<br />Memory: GeIL EVO Spear 16 GB (2x8) DDR4-3200<br />Storage: Hitachi Ultrastar 7K3000 2 TB 3.5"<br />Storage: Team GX2 512 GB 2.5"<br />Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon RX580 8 GB Aorus XTR 8G (this is my only used part, gifted from a friend who does cryptocurrency mining<br />Case: Thermaltake Versa H18 MicroATX Mini Tower Case<br />PSU: EVGA SuperNova G3 550 W <br />Monitor: Dell S2419HGF 24" 1920x1080 144 Hz<br /><br />On top of that I can't switch my monitor to English (accidentally tapped Spanish for first time turning on) but I think it roughly translates to no HDMI signal, move your mouse or keyboard, etc.<br /><br />Thank you]]>
