    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=14524">okcel</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 12956<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 Nov 2019 at 12:58am<br /><br />pcpartpicker list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jpxz7T<br /><br />BIOS version P3.60, fresh from the retailer without any changes to the default settings.<br /><br />I'm having a very difficult time with my fresh build.<br /><br />Four out of five times during the boot process, the machine freezes on the ASRock splash screen. ?When I am able to enter into UEFI, within a minute the menus and cursor become unresponsive. ?Occasionally, when I have been able to enter the UEFI menus, some of the characters have been garbled.  I checked the hardware temps while I was in there and saw the CPU was idling around 53c and holding steady until the system became unresponsive.<br /><br />To troubleshoot the issue I have removed all of the components from the case to avoid grounding to the case. ?I have limited it to one 8gb stick in the A2 slot, trying each stick. ?Only the mouse / keyboard plugged into the motherboard usb ports. ?Tested with a known working GPU and PSU from another machine. ?I have attached an internal speaker, however I am not getting any beep notifications.<br /><br />Anyone have any guesses?  At this point I suspect the memory or the CPU, but I have no way to test either individually?
