Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac Firmware 1.50: Boot Menu Doesn't work

I want to be able to select the boot device at startup.
However, when I press F11 as the system is booting I have the following problems:

1. The screen displayed does not show the devices. (see pic below)
2. I have to 'paint' the screen with the mouse to show the list of devices. (see pic below)
3. It appears that there is a corrupt entry in the list composed of 'garbage'
4. It is not possible to move up and down the list of devices using the keyboard or mouse.
5. The only actions that work are to press the on-screen buttons 'Enter Setup" or 'Boot Default'

Notes.
This has been the same since firmware 1.0
I have re-flashed the Bios with v1.50 and used the 'Load BIOS' defaults option.
