Author: Dumor3D
Subject: 1334
Posted: 25 Nov 2015 at 1:01pm

I just put together my new system and am hitting a PCI resource limit.

i7 5930K
G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2800
4 Sata drives

That part is fairly simple.

Video: Onboard
Slot 1 Titan X
Slot 2 GTX 980Ti
Slot 4 GTX 980Ti
Slot 5 PCI Host Adaptor

The host adaptor feeds a 4 slot GPU cluster which uses a maximum of 4 lanes and hold at the moment
2 GTX 980s
1 GTX 660

I get 8 beeps on boot up and it seems to be a d4 code as that is what is showing during the beeping. The system continues the boot process and Windows 7 sees all 6 cards. But, one of the on board Ti's and the GTX 660 are not available for use. Windows Task Manager states it is a resource issue. If my code reading is correct, this seems to agree.

I'm not sure how to see what these 'limits' are. Do you have any ideas about how I can increase the resources available to the GPUs?

I'm not even sure what 'resources' refers to?

I do have a 1000 watt psu with both the molex, 8 pin and 4 pin feeds plugged in. All video cards have PCI-e power run to them. The system runs from a 1500watt cyber power UPS.

Or can I turn off some of the other MB devices to free up some resources?
