With the SOC voltage 1.1v the PC is stable but today i disabled SMT and the same Error 8d comes back...
A 1000 Euro Board with so many bugs :/ never again a Asrock Board... Its an unfinished product....

This is probably because of the other voltages on the board.
The combination can be different from board to board and bios versions.

But i think 1.2V is really too high.
If it works with 1.1V, i would stay with that and watch it.
Even users with other boards used some different SOC voltages 1.05 ... 1.10 V.

The 8d problem on my board didn't come up every cold start, just sometimes, as an additional note.

Hi Ray62

The SOC voltage on RAM default settings is 1.012v. When i enable the XMP profile the SOC voltage increases to 1.2v. With loaded XMP Profile @3600 and SOC 1.05v my board wont boot (d1 error). I put the SOC Volate to 1.1v and increase the RAM voltage to 1.37v. Now the System boots fine. Do you think the SOC voltage is too high? I will test the system for the next few days and give you a feedback.

BTW: When i had the bios stuck with 8d code, simply pressing the power button again did solve it too.

With CPU NB/SoC 1.05V the board boots fine every time since end of October (3 bios versions with no difference regarding that).

Yes, the error code 8d is seen on several X570 boards like on my MSI MEG Ace too.
On default settings (with RAM 2133MHz, SOC 1.030V), the issue doesn't come up.
When the RAM is clocked higher, the Bios sets the voltage SOC 1.100V (too high).

Everthing is working fine with CPU NB/SoC 1.05V

So i suggest to watch the SOC voltage on RAM default settings and after applying XMP 3600. If it is too high too, decrease it a bit.

You also should check the RAM voltage. Probably 1.35V is too low, if that is set by the bios.

Anyone else experiencing this or been able to solve it? 3950X seems to be tripping 8D codes during boot with updated BIOS (1.71) and (1.90). The Bios 1.90 send me the Asrock support for the LED Problem but With this bios i have after every boot or reboot the 8d Error... I tested This with the XMP Profile of my RAM (GSklill 16-16-16-36 @3600). I have the same issue when i configure the timmings manually... Then i tested the Rams with @3200 and the same issue happend... I see on other Forums that Asus, msi and gigabyte boards have the same Problem.
