Author: Wiki
Subject: 13533
Posted: 28 Jan 2020 at 2:12am

Anyone with Asrock TRX40 Creator and Noctua NH-U14S TR4?

Noctua says its product is compatible with TRX40 creator, however, seeing photos, it is the motherboard that has less space for the CPU heatsink (between the VRM heatsink and the first PCI-e slot on the motherboard). It has approximately a space the size of a DDR4 slot ( 133mm) or maybe a little more, so assuming that the width of the NH-U14S TR4 / SP3 is 140mm, or it does not fit or has very little margin.

my questions would be:
* Can the heatsink be installed on the Asrock TRX40 Creator motherboard having the first PCI-e slot on the motherboard available for use with a GPU?
* Is there enough space? I'm worried about problems due to lack of space. Maybe a short circuit for example with the graphics card because they are too close
