I installed ubuntu on the afformentioned system, everything seemed fine.

I updated from 2.00 to bios 2.70 and my experience became very poor.

For one thing just typing into a chrome window was extremely slow, all window / compositing style issues. It felt like I was on a $300 laptop from Walmart.

After trying a couple different kernels / distros I was able to get some improvement.

However i noticed that even in the bios my keyboard input was very slow in the bios. I cleared the CMOS / no good.

Then I went from 2.70 down to 2.10 and all of my issues resolved themselves... At least so far.

I'm mostly leaving this thread here in case anyone else runs into similiar issues.
