Putting back old memory makes the PC work fine again without any problems. Testing the new memory in another PC leads also to NO effect. It remains "restarting" without that the monitor turns on. With the new kit it gives a E1 and D4 notification at the display.
Author: CoolRemote2020
Subject: 13708
Posted: 23 Feb 2020 at 6:45am

Hello to all of you. I'm new here and hope to find some help.

I have a Asrock P45x3 Deluxe Motherboard. Since I bought it brandnew it has been working great without any problem. I have two sticks of 2GB DDR3, Non ecc memory in it.

However I want more memory and decided to buy extra memory. Today I added these new memory sticks, Kingston HyperX FURY Blue 8GB - PC3-12800 - DIMM.
(Two sticks of 4GB each). But with these new memory sticks the motherboard does nothing. It only comes in a sort of boot loop and shows E1 and later D4. It does not allow me in any way to enter the BIOS since it does not post (the monitor does not turn on). I have upgraded the BIOS succesfully to version 1.5. But with these new memory sticks it still does not work. Also resetting and clear CMOS does not help.

Maybe someone has advice what to do. Help is very much appreciated.!
