I am building a PC with AsRock Intel H570 Steel Legend + i7-11700 + standard DDR4-3200 RAM modules

No planning to overclock RAM or CPU o GPU

GPU planned initially a old Geforce 1060 from the today PC

The PSU designed for this build is Corsair RM750x which is without outlet for the second ATX12V, but if necessary I may think to return it and buy a new one.
Anyway for the planning needs, for the level of GPU I am about to buy in the future, it's very powerful, it may be enough 550-600W...

Your recommendations to connect both ATX12V 8+4 plugs is valid also for INTEL CPUs?

On the PDF guide of the MoBo it only speaks

"... Connecting an ATX 12V 4-pin cable to ATX12V2 is optional.
*For advanced overclocking we suggest using this connector together with ATX12V1..."

It really depends on the CPU you use, something like a 3900x or 3950x would benefit
from the extra power/stability and lower heat that comes with using both the 8 and
4 pin connectors. Not using it means more current being pulled through the 8 pin
which in turn creates more heat on that power circuit. Regardless of needed or not
there is an actual benefit to connecting it, better efficiency and possibly less

It does appear that the 4 pin connector is not needed. On a X570 Steel Legend Motherboard, is a power cable to the 4 pin 12V Power Connector (ATX12V2) necessary? I am using a Corsair RM750x, several years old, and they do not provide such a cable. I don't remember my X399 Taichi having such a requirement.
