Check to see if the Windows are updated.
2. INF/Management Engine drivers are installed from the system.
   https://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/b365m%20pro4/index.asp#Download
3. Disable the CSM from the BIOS/Boot menu.
4. Check with a different monitor or screen output cable.
5. Install the graphics card on other systems to see if the graphics card will work properly.
6. Try changing the RAM to a different slot or try a different RAM.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

Edited by ASRock_TSD - 07 Apr 2020 at 10:18am

    Author: jlcpremier
Subject: 13971
Posted: 02 Apr 2020 at 12:54pm

I'm having a strange problem with my computer. The only 2 components I believe would be causing this issue is the motherboard or graphics card.

After the computer has been on for awhile, usually a day or 2 it will randomly essentially lock up, the display still shows it's getting a signal, but the screen is blank. The computer is completely non responsive. Keyboard and mouse can't wake it up, and I don't see the hard drive indicator light up.

The only solution is to shut it down. A simple quick press of the power button shuts the computer down completely. No long press needed. The computer starts back up fine. Windows doesn't report any error in event viewer or during boot up.

Completely at a loss for what could be causing this. I've updated the BIOS, and all available drivers.

A couple specs of the system...

B365M Pro4 on P4.20 BIOS
Intel i5 9400f
Nvidia GTX 1050
Crucial 8GB DDR4 1333

The system is mainly used as a PLEX media server, so not a lot of heavy CPU usage, and this issue appears to occur only when the system is idle. It's never happened when I've been actively using it.
