It's a great board, however I've had trouble with the latest 2.90 bios, it would crash often and reset my 3600mhz ram (F4-3600C16-8GTZ) to 2400.

I bought a B450M Steel Legend and the 3900x back in July '19. Board worked out of the box even back then. The mobo box had a sticker added saying 3000 support. As far as I am aware all boards shipped out by ASRock after a generation launch
(CPU) ship with the latest available BIOS. They actually go into their stores and
manually flash every last board that goes out the door. If you get a board that has
an older BIOS version then it had been sitting in a retailer warehouse or on a shelf
somewhere.

Sadly many retailers sit on large stock numbers and make no effort to update the

There in lies a problem. Amazon doesnt seem to be shipping it directly atm, and the cheapest B450m board is shipped from Italy... new egg charges a stupid 80 dollar shipping fee... Indeed they should, but there are some board manufacturers and retailers that are selling B450 boards with old BIOs versions still installed.
