Author: ItsNeverLupus
Subject: 14068
Posted: 10 Apr 2020 at 7:28pm

Hello,

referring to the manual page 3, USB 3's work on ref 11 and 9. I haven't tested the USB c (ref 10). but all other USBs have power (can charge devies) but don't register devices or external media.

Build is as below:
Taichi x570
Ryzen 7 1800x
msi Radeon Rx580 8G
gskill RGB 8GB x 2 Ram
Enermax revolution 85+ (1200W)
windows 10 64 bit

as the chip is a little older i had to do a BIOS update using the BIOS USB. That worked and is one of the USBs in question.

I went to bios and same issue with the same 4 ports.

I have triple checked my PSU connections 12V to 8 and 4 pin. the Enermax manual is specific about a split pin 8 pin to 2 x 4s that you use the one labelled 12v.. which i am..

Initially i was lazy and just slapped by old SSD in with OLD win 10 OS installed.. see if i can get that to work.. and this was the only issue after updating drivers to the AMD x570 chipset. I then reinstalled windows 10 to another 2.5"HDD i had lying around and after the amd x570 chipset drivers were installed same issue...

any advice? dead USB ports is all i can think especially with them alsno not working in BIOS...

Thanks.
