    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5435">datonyb</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 14303<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 10 May 2020 at 1:40am<br /><br />1400 in board<br />RESET BIOS TO DEFAULTS (this is important)<br />personally i prefer just one stick of ram in slot a2 (to minimise chance of bad data block)<br /><br />then version 3.40 bridge (if your lower version at the moment)<br />then<br />version 5.40 another bridge<br />then version 6.30<br />after a flash always ideal to boot to bios save and exit then reboot to bios for flashing next step<br /><br />when you have 6,30<br />shut down pc and fit the 3000 series<br />test boot to bios save and exit <br />fit 2 nd ram stick<br />boot to bios , save and exit <br />let it boot windows ,and close down <br /><br />THEN<br /><br /> set the ram xmp etc in bios ]]>

Don't forget to clear CMOS with the clear CMOS jumper before you flash and<br />again before you power on for the first time with the 3300x. It will save you <br />headaches. ]]>

Is there any indication that the latest BIOS (6.30) won't work with the new chips? I know AsRock has been pretty good with updating the older 3xx series boards so not sure if I should wait for a new BIOS to come through or if the current will work. <br /><br />Thanks!]]>
