The reason why I even started this discussion is because of that. I simply can't find any kind of support for the nvme drives on their storage section.. Just really strange if you ask me.<br /><br />I am pretty sure it should work it says it works with m.2 and 970 is m.2 drive there is no reason for it not to work, I am still not 100% positive about it since their list showing no result of any type of the newer drives. <br />I never bought anything from Amazon , just don't want to pay extra for them taxes for it to get to where I live.I'll just buy it from the regular page from where I live inside my Country domain. I think the policy would be 15 days to return the item if it doesn't work with full refunds.]]>

Hope it does because I will probably go with one of them, might also add that the Bios version is latest possible for my cpu (Summit Ridge) which is P5.50. <br /><br />]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5435">datonyb</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 14332<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 11 May 2020 at 4:35am<br /><br />from what i see <br /><br />samsung had to 'up' the performance of the normal evo when WD launched the nvme black edition<br /><br />hence the evo plus<br /><br />its similar to the older 970 pro now <br />with 'i think' much better sustained writes etc <br /><br />one thing to also consider <br />with all nvme drives <br /><br />the QUOTED speeds are usually for the larger drives <br />the smaller drives in range can be far far slower<br />due to less actual chips inside <br /><br />eg 128 gb may have one chip and the 1gb may have 4 chips <br /><br />the reads and writes are faster with more chips obviosly<br />]]>
