I think that one might fit. It does not look like the spreader is much above the board, and the specs on it say the height is 32mm or 1.259 inch. I believe my G.Skill is 1.25 inches. I understand. That makes sense (the lack of demand for 8gb high speed).

As for relocating the drive, I could possibly do that if I buy a bracket to mount it in a 5.25 bay. As for getting a 2.5 SSD, well I'd rather not right now. The 2tb drive is only half full & 3 years old, so it still has some good life left. That is the one I mentioned with a link in my last reply. Except the 2400 version, 8gb total, sold thru Newegg here in the States. So I know that one is available.
