According to your question, we provide some suggestions for verifying:

1. Please enter BIOS setup and load BIOS default setting via [F9] key.
2. Plug USB SSD to other USB ports including rear/front USB ports.
3. Plug other USB devices to check if all USB ports are functioning.
4. If possible, please reinstall a clean Windows 10 OS.
5. If possible, please plug other USB SSD to verify if the problem is caused by device compatibility.

My USB external SSD cannot work with this new B450M Steel Legend motherboard.
This SSD was working well on my laptop before, but if installing on this board, not detect and no any movement. Reconnect several time just no react. Is there any driver needs to install on WIN10 first?

Please help, I have no idea.
