I may be wrong but I think it was reading 2 sticks of RAM as tested one and it said 4gb instead of 8gb and then put the other one in and it read 8gb in total. But I will double check as what you said makes sense.
Thanks Pascal

I recently purchased a new ASRock 970M pro3 to replace my old one who had died. I installed with all previous components and got my windows 10 Pc up and running again. However, the BIOS only recognises half the amount of my DDR3 RAM. I have got 2x 8gb Vengeance DDR3 Ram (16gb in total) but it only reads 2x 4gb (8gb). Has anyone come across this before. This is the same RAM I was using before on the same motherboard model and the BIOS was reading 16gb.
Any advice would be appreciated. Pascal
