After removal of the paste, I discovered that the old CPU was an 15-7400, thus both CPU's are Kaby Lake.

I found 100-series-motherboards-and-kaby-lake post and realized that the not POST-ing is because my BIOS is not compatible.
I've now created a tech-support case for a new BIOS chip as I'm unable to flash the BIOS myself with the given CPU's.

I'll let you know once the new BIOS arrives.
It could also be bent pins in the
CPU socket. Double check your socket and also make sure the RAM is seating all the
way into the slot. On occasion the RAM slots can be very snug and need a bit of
force. Make sure your board's BIOS supports the 7500, the version the board shipped
with is printed on a small white label on the BIOS chip.

If you can get your hands on a basic 4gb stick of RAM (2133 - 2666) that your
board is guaranteed to support that would help too.

good luck and let us know how you get on.
