CPU-Z must show the VID, which is not always the same as the true VCore. HWiNFO64 shows the Skylake VCore on ASRock boards. Any idea what the VCore really is? The max Skylake VID is 1.52V I think.

How about Skylake surviving that VCore? That on a 14nm chip. Shocked

Did you know that the same Intel design team (in Israel) that designed the Sandy Bridge processors also did the Skylake design?

Hehe, only 3200 yup. Smile never been one to play with ram much. All I ever want ram to do is not screw up. Embarrassed  Of course if you were to hand out some tips on how to get to 3600 I might be convinced to try. Big smile

Playing with chip again, 4.960 , chip multi on 49, cache multi on 48, and little tiny bump to bclk

I kinda like it as it is very simple and quick to run. Those are some great scores DooRules. Makes me wish I had the budget to pick up a pair of 950s myself. Just out of curiosity, what scores are you getting on your 6700K with the CPUZ bench tool? Since the latest update it seems to be scaling better on multi core tests.

I doubt we will have to worry about it for a long time yet, not with so many people still utilizing mechanical drives for storage. It would be nice to see a new NAND specific file system that takes better advantage of the technology as an option. I know next to nothing about programming and development but I would imagine it would probably be a nightmare to make it play nice with NTFS and FAT32. 

That said, given how fast my system feels using a regular SSD and with so much faster available now it may just be a moot point by the time it were actually ready to roll out. The nerd in me just wants another excuse to geek out. Geek Tongue
