I suspect now that the ATX setup with very little room for wires etc. is interrupting the wireless signal. I am using HP 4000 dongle and might have to move the dongle away from the micro board and onto USB Hub outside the ATX case.

Replaced batteries several times to see if low voltage is the issue. also attempted to move the dongle outside the ATX case and more closer to keyboard/mouse wire statics perhaps.

I would like to test USB ports with a utility provided by ASROCK to rule out component issues. the issue has been there since I assembled the workstation.

ASRock
Fatal1ty
B450 GAMING-ITX/AC
AMD Promontory B450
AM4

Onboard USB:
USB 3.11 x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A Port (10Gb/s) (Supports ESD Protection) 2 x USB 3.1 Gen1 Ports (Supports ESD Protection)
USB 1.1/2.02 x USB 2.0 Ports (Supports ESD Protection) * 1 x Fatal1ty Mouse Port (USB 2.0) is included
USB Type-C1 x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C Port (10Gb/s) (Supports ESD Protection)
