Well, I went with an 95W TDP FX 6100, but the FX 6300 is 95W TPD too.

A good aftermarket cooler top-down blower is a MUST.

I mean, after all, they didn't say just what AM3+ silicon they were considering.

Just cross-flash it with the M3N78D FX,
it's the same board with a sticker on it with the updated BIOS for the FX.

When You peal it off it is written down on the board "M3N78D",
so go figure that out.

Even the socket is white.

No. It does not support AM3+ CPUs as it has the older white CPU socket.

A BIOS update cannot remedy that.
